Nicole E. Castle

Nicole e. Castle preferred to play by herself as a child, and out of her alone time, sprang a rich, vibrant imagination that loves all manner of monster. Her step-mother once said that Nicole would wake up screaming after seeing a scary movie, but it never stopped her from wanting to watch another one, and another. Masochistic? Maybe. Drawn to what lurks in the shadows? Definitely. And these two sides of her personality work well to help her as she creates dark poetry and short stories. She has been published in the following: Wayne Literary Review; Pink Panther Magazine; Artifex; Erie Tales; and Recurring Nightmares. Her short story, “Playtime’s End”, was published in the short fiction anthology Between the Lines. Currently, she teaches writing and literature at Macomb Community College in southeastern Michigan; hosts a literary reading series on South Campus called WORDcraft Wednesdays; and edits the college's literary magazine, Artifex. She is also the proud editor of GLAHW's short story, poetry, and art horror magazine: Ghostlight: The Magazine of Terror. She is a current member of the board for the Great Lakes Association of Horror Writers, and loves every minute of it.
