Kubernetes, aside from being a difficult to pronounce Greek word, is the most popular container orchestration engine today. It is also one of the largest growing open source projects and a tremendously powerful platform for building distributed applications. In this presentation you will learn the basics about the Kubernetes project, from the architecture and design of the platform to the community structure and governance. Attendees will leave this presentation with a high-level picture of Kubernetes, an understanding of how it can improve their application deployment pipelines, and a clear path for how they can become involved with this new and growing community.
