Writing a rulebook is a very delicate art and takes many people and lots of practice to do well. Plus, each game's needs are different--how long should the rulebook be? How about Diagrams? What's Active-voice and why should I care? Don't panic, there are a lot of handy guidelines and questions you can ask yourself to make the process of writing and developing the rules easier both on yourself and on those who will be reading them throughout every stage of the design process.
